Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of multiple residential projects including multi-family and single-family homes. This role ensures projects are built safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards while maintaining tight production cycle times. The Superintendent is the primary field leader, responsible for coordinating trades, inspections, safety, production flow, and quality across multiple active buildings or phases simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities:
Production & Schedule Management
- Manage daily construction operations across multiple single-family homes and/or multi-family buildings
- Drive production schedules with a focus on cycle-time performance
- Maintain and update real-time schedules in Procore
- Sequence and stack trades efficiently across multiple units
- Identify schedule risks early and implement recovery strategies
- Obtain final inspections & certificate of occupancy
Procore
- Maintain Procore accuracy for: Schedule progress, Site photos, Safety documentation, Inspection results and Change order creation
- Initiate and manage Change Events in Procore for: Design conflicts, Field conditions, Scope gaps, and Municipal requirements
- Maintain: Daily Logs, Progress Photos, Inspection Results, and RFI field responses
- Ensure real-time field data integrity to support executive-level cost and schedule reporting
Quality Control
- Enforce quality standards across all projects
- Perform and document: Pre-slab inspections, Pre-drywall inspections, Pre-paint inspections and Final inspections
- Ensure: Consistency across units and projects, Plan compliance, Code compliance, Drive punch list completion prior to final municipal inspections and Verify work completion prior to Subcontractor payment approval
Subcontractor Management
- Schedule and coordinate multiple Subcontractors across multiple projects
- Be familiar with and enforce: Schedule compliance and manpower requirements, Material staging requirements, Trade stacking conflicts quickly to avoid schedule delays, and Contracted scopes of work for each Subcontractor
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce OSHA, company, and site-specific safety programs
- Conduct documented safety walks in Procore
- Enforce: PPE, Fall protection, and Trenches & excavation safety
- Immediately document incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions in Procore
- Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free production jobsites
Labor and Daily Construction Tasks & Cleanup
- Support site operations as needed by performing hands-on tasks and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Duties include: General Labor, Assist with material handling and distribution across the site, Operate basic tools and equipment as needed for daily tasks, Install and maintain BMPs.
- Daily Construction Tasks: Perform minor carpentry, drywall, or other trade-related tasks under supervision, Help with layout, measurements, and verification of work progress and Ensure proper storage and protection of materials and tools
- Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness of work zones throughout the day, Remove debris, sweep units, and organize materials to prevent hazards, and Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards
Municipal, Utility & Inspection Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule: Building inspections, Fire inspections, Health department (as applicable), Utility company inspections, and Third-party special inspections
- Track and resolve all corrections quickly
- Maintain inspection history and pass rates in Procore
Property Management Turnover
- Manage: Unit punch lists, Common area completion, Life-safety sign-offs, Coordinate final cleans and building turnover packages and Ensure complete Procore project closeout documentation
Leadership & Team Accountability
- Serve as field leader for assigned communities and buildings
- Maintain high accountability for: Schedule, Safety, Quality and Trade performance
- Mentor Assistant Superintendents
- Communicate regularly with: Construction Leadership & Purchasing
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of residential construction experience
- Direct experience managing: High-volume single-family and multi-family production
- Proficiency in Procore
- Strong knowledge of: Residential and multi-family building codes, R-2 and R-3 wood-frame construction, Critical path scheduling & Trade stacking
- Proficiency in Procore, specifically for: Change Events, Change Orders, Schedule Updates, Daily Logs, Photos, RFIs, and Inspections
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven ability to manage 25 units across multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $95,000-$120,000 annually
