Job Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and the drafting of legal documents. This is a fully onsite role based in Lambertville, NJ, with standard business hours of 9:30 AM–5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather relevant facts and evidence in preparation for trial
- Conduct legal research to identify statutes, judicial decisions, and legal precedents; prepare findings reports
- Draft legal arguments, briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and other legal documents for attorney review
- Obtain affidavits and assist attorneys during trials and hearings
- Organize and maintain case files, reference files, and exhibits
- Schedule cases, assemble data, and prepare materials for court appearances
- Interview clients and witnesses; summarize depositions and interrogatories
- Review and answer correspondence; review brief format prior to court submission
- Utilize electronic and manual recording and information systems as required
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, terminology, and research techniques
- Ability to draft contracts, briefs, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Ability to analyze judicial decisions, legal opinions, and rulings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Viapath OMS (training provided)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Experience summarizing depositions and interrogatories
- Familiarity with agency regulations and policy analysis
Location & Work Model
Fully onsite — 1750 River Road, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Business attire/business casual required. Equipment (computer) provided.
Engagement Details
4-month contract. In-person interview required. Work hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM with one-hour unpaid lunch break.
