Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe IMS and CICS Developer to join our client's team in Wilmington, DE. This is a Day-1 onsite position requiring deep expertise in mainframe technologies including COBOL, IMS, and CICS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe application development and batch processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL on z/OS
- Work with IMS/DB and IMS/DC for database and transaction processing
- Develop and support CICS-based transaction processing applications
- Write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing workflows
- Perform data set management and support mainframe system administration tasks
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in COBOL
- In-depth knowledge of z/OS mainframe operating systems
- Expertise in IMS/DB and IMS/DC
- Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces
- Ability to write and manage JCL for batch processing
- Basic mainframe system administration including data set management and security
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large-scale enterprise mainframe environments
- Familiarity with mainframe performance tuning and troubleshooting
Location & Work Model:
Wilmington, DE — Day-1 Onsite, 5 days per week. Candidates must be willing to work from the office starting from Day 1.
