What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Specialist position at InfiCare Staffing?
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
lunch period: Noon to 1 pm (unpaid)
Minimum Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field
·Current or former New Jersey Licensed Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS)
·Experience conducting compliance inspections, investigations, or site audits
·Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
·Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting) preferred
·Trained Pool Operator (TPO) certification is a plus, but not required
Job Responsibilities:
The Environmental Specialists will conduct field inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with youth camp safety standards under the CCDBG MOA. Additional responsibilities include participating in childcare facility training sessions and documenting inspection findings using departmental reporting systems. Candidates should have strong written communication and investigative skills, along with the ability to use both electronic and manual reporting systems. A background check will be required.
