Title: CNC Controls Engineer
Duration: 6 months on W2 with no benefits
Location: Hebron, KY
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Controls Engineer to join our team in Hebron, KY.
This is primarily an onsite role with 20–40% travel.
The position is aligned with long-term projects, with potential for full-time conversion with our sister company. Travel expenses can be provided for non-local candidates during contract period.
Due to possible requirement of clearances, only U.S. Citizens will be considered
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain CNC control software from scratch
Program and configure Siemens CNC systems (Sinumerik One / 840D)
Write and maintain code using C/C , VB.NET, and IEC 61131-3 PLC languages (especially SCL)
Work within the TIA Portal development environment
Develop PLC software for Siemens Operate platforms
Manage and maintain source-controlled code (Git or Siemens VCI)
Utilize OPC-UA for system integration
Develop and manage Compile Cycles (MyCC / MyCCI)
Configure projects using Create MyConfig (CMC)
Perform HMI development using Easy XML, Display Manager, Sidescreens, and WinCC
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with Siemens CNC Controls
Hands-on experience programming CNC systems from scratch (not just troubleshooting/modification)
Experience with Sinumerik One (preferred) or Siemens 840D
Proficiency in TIA Portal
Strong PLC programming skills (IEC 61131-3, SCL)
Experience with source control tools (Git/VCI)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with C/C# or VB.NET
Exposure to OPC-UA and HMI development tools
Experience working in manufacturing/industrial automation environments
Salary : $50 - $60
