Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
SHIFT: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday (Potential Flex hours 9:-5 or 9:30 - 6:00)
Guaranteed hours a week: 40

Important: We are looking for a resource with sample receipt and accessioning, and lab bench experience rather than phlebotomy.
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Requirements:
- -Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
- 3 - years of experience a MLT
- -BLS Certification
- -Epic, Sunquest CoPathPlush
- -Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).
-Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Prior experience in clinical labs, handling specimens and comfortable in PPE.
- A fair amount of testing is prenatal testing.
-Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
