Infectious Disease Services of Georgia is a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical practice specializing in infectious disease consultation, treatment, and primary care in the metro Atlanta area. With clinics in Roswell, Cumming, and Johns Creek, our team of specialists, supported by wound care nurses, a pharmacy consultant, and an on-site infusion center, delivers expert care for complex infections and hard-to-treat conditions. We provide comprehensive care for a wide range of infectious diseases, including bone and joint infections, hepatitis C, MRSA, tuberculosis, and non-healing wounds. Our additional services include an office-based infusion center, travel medicine, and immunizations. Accredited by ACHC, we are committed to quality, patient-centered care and offer a patient portal for convenience.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Advanced Practice Provider role located in the North GA area. The Advanced Practice Provider will assess and manage the healthcare needs of patients, providing primary and specialized care in infectious diseases, conducting examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and creating personalized treatment plans. In addition, the role involves coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, delivering education to patients on preventive health measures, and responding to complex healthcare needs such as critical care and emergencies. Inpatient hospital setting care experience required. Collaboration with physicians and other team members is a key aspect of the role to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in Medicine, Primary Care, and Infectious Diseases
  • Experience or certification in Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine
  • Qualified as a Nurse Practitioner and capable of working in a collaborative inpatient hospital healthcare environment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing patient-centered care
  • Valid licensure and certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of Georgia
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and HIPPA compliance
  • Experience in wound care management and IV antibiotic therapy is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in dynamic medical environments with a focus on delivering high-quality care
