Responsibilities:
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims in a timely manner
- Review and resolve denied, rejected, or unpaid claims
- Perform accounts receivable (AR) follow-up with insurance companies
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately into the billing system
- Verify claim status, eligibility, and payment accuracy
- Work aging reports and maintain timely filing compliance
- Identify billing issues and escalate trends when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with providers, front desk, and billing team for claim resolution
- Assist with appeals, corrections, and reimbursement recovery
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable (AR) and payment posting
- Knowledge of insurance claim processing and denial management
- Familiarity with medical billing software and payer portals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals
Experience with specialty billing is a plus.
