Position Summary
The Art Manager, Creative Services, is the primary driver of how Infantino presents ourselves to the consumer through packaging, in-store activations, photography, and retailer presentations. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual identity of our brand. The Art Manager leads the design and visual appearance of all company presentations, including customer line review documents, sales kits, and various other materials. They develop and maintain style guides for presentations, packaging, and other visual assets, ensuring consistency and excellence. Additionally, they coordinate and direct photo shoots for all product lines, creating assets for packaging, digital platforms, instruction manuals, and other product-related imagery. As the leader of the Creative Services department, they manage the graphic design team to execute all packaging and instruction manual assets, continuously striving to enhance and uphold the superior visual image of Infantino in all outward-facing aspects
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Development and Innovation
- Manage and lead the timeline for packaging development ensuring costs, brand, and marketing initiatives are considered for all projects with a key focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining schedules.
- Promote and drive innovative and efficient packaging solutions to both elevate products and assure we maintain cost considerations.
- Build and maintain style guides for all product packaging.
- Drive customer-driven packaging plans such as sustainability, smaller (space-saving) executions, and elevated consumer experiences, such as "try me."
Creative Execution and Presentation
- Drive creative execution of company presentation materials including line review decks, sales kit decks, and other outward-facing presentation documents.
- Manage and oversee the team’s process to aid retailer line review assets including packaging mock-ups.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to fully understand design intent and consumer messaging, so packaging impact can be maximized.
- Collaborate with Hong Kong-based project managers to assure reliable and on-time packaging executions with a strong emphasis on cost and timing.
- Work with outside vendors and Hong Kong counterparts to find the best solutions for packaging materials and structures.
Photo Shoots and Visual Assets
- Source, manage, and direct resources for all product photo shoots. Seek creative ways to generate superior results with efficient budgets.
Team Management and Process Improvement
- Oversee and manage the graphic design team of 2 to assure quality, accuracy, and timing metrics are maintained, as well as adherence to creative style guides.
- Make proactive recommendations to streamline and improve creative processes.
- Mentor fellow designers through meaningful critiques and other opportunities to share design knowledge and experience.
- Comply with current workflow systems and processes and initiate and manage changes to streamline, simplify, and improve as needed.
Technical Expertise
- Thorough understanding of printing processes, substrates, and materials to ensure production artwork delivers effectively against design intent.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a creative/graphic design position
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art or related field
- Experience managing a team of designers
- Experience in the creative development and related executions for a brand
- Experience with and understanding of requirements to plan and execute successful photo shoots
- Strong time management skills with a demonstrated high degree of flexibility within tight deadlines.
- Passionate about design and knowledgeable about industry, trends, and marketplace
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Proficient at all relative digital tools (PhotoShop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Clear understanding and proficiency with physical packaging design and mock ups
Compensation and Benefits
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 11 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): eligible after 60 days of employment including 3% company contribution
- Base salary range of $100,000 - $115,000
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
