The base salary range for this role is $185,000 - $275,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assemble, build and test precision mechanical, electrical, optical and laser systems
- Work with the physics, controls and engineering team to deliver high performance integrated capabilities – for example to inject and track IFE target location integrated with laser beam steering to point beam on target.
- Support the design and operation of optical metrology and tracking test beds
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely and efficiently
Required
- MS or PhD degree in engineering, physics, optics, photonics, or lasers and similar subject
- Experience in precision laboratory environments
- Experience working with optical systems in R&D environment.
- Experience with precision alignment, characterization, and fast imaging and other photo sensors
- Experience with integrating laser and sensors into fast response systems
