What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Corporate Sponsor Prospect Database and 90-Day Outreach Plan position at Ineffable Films?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We are looking for a strategic partnerships professional to build a Corporate Sponsor Prospect Database and 90 day Outreach Plan that complements our existing sponsorship outreach kit. The volunteer will deliver a vetted database of 50 corporate sponsor prospects (30 national brands plus 5 local prospects in each of our 4 markets), brand alignment notes, sponsorship tier recommendations, decision-maker contact details, and a sequenced 90 day outreach plan with 3 ready-to-deploy email templates. Scope of work includes the following: 1. Research 30 national corporate prospects aligned with film, education, youth, technology, and diaspora storytelling 2. Identify 5 local corporate prospects per market (Boston, NYC, LA, San Diego) for city-specific activations 3. Tier each prospect (Tier 1 ideal fit, Tier 2 strong fit, Tier 3 long shot) with reasoning 4. Capture decision-makers via LinkedIn, public PR contacts, and corporate CSR portals 5. Draft 3 outreach email templates (initial intro, follow up, sponsorship proposal cover) 6. Sequence the 90 day outreach plan with weekly priorities The ideal volunteer has a background in corporate development, brand partnerships, sponsorship sales, or CSR consulting, and a passion for amplifying underrepresented voices in film. This project should take 25 to 35 hours to complete. We are hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2 to 5 hours of their time per week.
Ineffable Films exists to make sure that the stories of emerging and underserved filmmakers actually travel. That tagline, Stories that Travel, is not a slogan. It is a logistical commitment. Programs cost money. Cameras cost money. Festival fees, travel, mentorship sessions, screenings, all cost money. Corporate sponsorship is what turns ambition into infrastructure. Every brand this volunteer adds to our database becomes a potential funder for a Global Lens Film Series production cycle, a Write Yourself In Afrofuturist storytelling cohort, a Festival Wings travel grant for a teen filmmaker submitting to their first festival, or an Open Hours mentorship session with a working industry professional. This work directly serves first generation filmmakers in San Diego, college students in Boston, kids in Queens, and our Bandung, Indonesia collaborators. The ripple effect is real. A single corporate partnership can fund a year of programming for 50 youth filmmakers. A national sponsor can underwrite 3 city activations. Your work on this project becomes the funding rails that let every story we touch actually move from idea to screen to audience.
We have already overhauled our corporate sponsorship materials into a single outreach kit covering tiers, benefits, audience reach, and impact metrics. We have an active GoHighLevel CRM with a sponsorship pipeline, our annual impact report, brand guidelines, and prior sponsor relationships documented. Our 10 department Slack workspace and Confluence wiki provide collaboration and documentation infrastructure. The volunteer will work directly with our Founder and CEO and our Marketing lead, with weekly 30 minute check ins and prompt feedback on drafts. Our Programs and Events leads will provide context on which programs benefit most from sponsor activations. Once complete, the database and outreach sequence will be loaded into GoHighLevel and become the working playbook our development team executes through 2026 and 2027. The volunteer will see their work directly drive new corporate relationships within weeks of project completion.
Ineffable Films, Inc. Mission: Ineffable Films is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young filmmakers from international lineages to tell the human journey of awakening in a world different from them, yet one they cannot abandon. We explore narratives that expose and celebrate the cultures, ethnicities, and communities of worlds both real and imagined. Our mission is to support these teenagers, especially those from BIPOC backgrounds, in telling their unique human journeys through the powerful medium of film. We operate primarily in the Greater Boston area, including Somerville, Cambridge, and Brookline, with aspirations to expand our reach and impact.
