What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Board Recruitment Strategy position at Ineffable Films?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Help us recruit mission-driven board members to our nonprofit! We are seeking a volunteer to help us craft a comprehensive recruitment plan. Project tasks will include: -Meeting with our organization's leadership to establish which roles are vacant -Development of the first draft of an inclusive recruitment strategy that includes clear tactics for reaching candidates representative of the community that we're serving and who meet our current needs -Finalizing the recruitment strategy by incorporating feedback from relevant team members -Conducting interviews with board or staff members involved in recruitment or prospecting to establish which tactics have and have not been successful in the past
Finding the right board treasurer is key to helping our nonprofit grow with stability and vision. This role ensures we manage funds wisely and plan for long-term impact, supporting everything from teen workshops to film festival submissions. Volunteers helping us find a treasurer will play a vital part in building a strong foundation. Your time and effort will directly support the next chapter of our mission to uplift young storytellers through film.
We will designate a team member to lead the project and work with the volunteer. We will also prepare members of our Board of Directors so they are aware of the project. We'll provide you with relevant information about our stakeholders and a background briefing on our programs, mission, vision, and purpose. You will have access to relevant materials and our current recruitment pipelines.

Our mission is to support these teenagers, especially those from BIPOC backgrounds, in telling their unique human journeys through the powerful medium of film. We operate primarily in the Greater Boston area, including Somerville, Cambridge, and Brookline, with aspirations to expand our reach and impact.
