Job Address: 6335 Castleway Ct Indianapolis, IN 46250 Position Overview: Pharmacy IV Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, provide IV medication and other health care products to patients through sterile compounding processes and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Work under the direction of Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacy IV Technician. Strictly follow SOPs and USP797 to prepare IV medications. Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists. Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and ensure their security. Enter medication orders into pharmacy operating system. Clean and maintain cleanroom per USP797 and SOPs. Maintain records of compounding, daily temps, and cleaning logs. Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate. Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards. Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting. Qualifications: Must be an Indiana licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician. Working knowledge of USP797 guidelines for training, compounding of medications, and cleaning and monitoring cleanroom. Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience a plus (but not required).
