About IndySoft

IndySoft specializes in industrial software for high-precision manufacturing and calibration industries. The software applications we produce are used worldwide and are relied upon by many of the most successful and well-known enterprise customers and commercial calibration labs.

The Opportunity

At IndySoft, we take pride in our unique approach to customer service and implementation. Our commitment to providing top-tier support to our clients sets us apart from other organizations, and we are looking for an Implementation Technician who shares this passion and is willing to grow with us.

As an Implementation Technician at IndySoft, your main role will be to assist external clients in the implementation of products across the IndySoft suite, including Enterprise Asset Manager and IndyGo. Your duties will revolve around evaluating client needs, developing custom configurations that support their business processes, and executing on delivery plans within defined project timelines. You will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting final system setups, and providing training and end-user support during and after the implementation process.

What a Right Fit Looks Like

To be successful in this role, you will need some computer savvy. That doesn't mean you need to be an expert in coding, but you need to have some comprehension and capability. An understanding of a database and how to query it is great, but we prioritize someone who can listen and empathize with a customer to guide them in the best direction. We want someone engaged in helping the person on the other end (phone/e-mail/teams) to really understand the situation and help them successfully use IndySoft.

Who provides exceptional customer service? You do. Regardless of what position you have at IndySoft, caring and helping our customers is core to how we operate. Being a subject matter expert on the IndySoft suite of products is a journey you're excited to undertake. Organization isn't just a part of the job, it's part of who you are. A love for keeping things organized, focused, and easily reportable is instilled in your essence.

You also understand that accountability is built into how we operate. Time is logged as work is performed, tasks are updated in real time, and our tools (Productive.io, Intercom, Confluence) are part of your daily workflow, not an afterthought.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Working hand in hand with customers to develop specifications or system requirement documents to make sure projects have clear achievable tasks.
  • Executing on assigned project tasks within timelines set by your project team, and proactively flagging anything that puts delivery at risk.
  • Once you've been assigned a scope of work, you're ready to jump into the process of building that solution and working with the customer to make sure it meets their needs.
  • At times you will collaborate with a dedicated data migration technician to support customer data transitions, making sure configurations and data line up before go-live.
  • How does a customer grow to understand the software? From you, because you train them on all the things important to their use case.
  • Ownership means a lot to you and you want to follow through on any task to achieve a resolution no matter what.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience (especially if you did any calibration work during your time in the service)
  • Fast-paced environments are where you thrive. You manage multiple projects without losing track of the details.
  • You are a caring, empathetic individual with technical knowledge and a desire to learn more.
  • Must be able to travel up to 13 weeks per year. These are typically multi-day customer site visits and we try to provide reasonable advance notice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including development, sales, and customer support. Both internally and externally you will interact with individuals in many different roles.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is helpful.
  • Background in asset management or experience with calibration is preferred.
  • Learning new tools and products comes easily and you're excited to dig into software so that you can better understand the requirements of implementation at IndySoft.

If you are a driven individual with a passion for working with people and solving problems, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
