Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a positive attitude and genuine hospitality
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Toast
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and courteous assistance
- Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure seamless guest flow and timely service
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, friendly interaction
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and efficiently manage reservations
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with guest services and serving protocols
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving comfortably for extended periods during busy shifts
