We're seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to support the machining of complex prototype and low-volume precision components for advanced mechanical systems. Working primarily on Haas mills and lathes, you'll collaborate closely with engineering to machine new designs, edit programs, set up machines, and produce high-quality parts in a technically challenging, precision-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Haas CNC milling and turning centers to manufacture precision components
- Edit CNC programs daily in Fusion 360 to support design revisions, optimize toolpaths, and improve machining efficiency
- Occasionally create new CNC programs in Fusion 360 for prototype components as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Select tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for a variety of precision parts
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Make tooling offsets and machine adjustments to maintain tolerances as tight as ±.0003"
- Build or modify fixtures to support machining operations
- Collaborate closely with engineering throughout prototype development while managing day-to-day machining operations
Qualifications
Required
- 3 years of CNC setup experience on both mills and lathes
- Experience editing CNC programs using Fusion 360 or another CAM package
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Experience machining aluminum and hardened steel
- Ability to independently set up, machine, inspect, and troubleshoot precision components
- Proficiency with precision inspection equipment and quality measuring tools
- Ability to consistently hold tolerances as tight as ±.0003"

- Fusion 360 programming experience
- Print-to-part machining experience
- Haas controls experience
- Multi-axis machining experience
- Prototype or R&D machining experience
- Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device manufacturing experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Up to $75,000 annually (DOE)
- Flexible Monday-Friday schedule (typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with flexible start/end times)
