Turnaround Scheduler (Contract)Rodeo, CA 12-Month Contract | Per Diem & Mobilization ProvidedWork SchedulePre-Turnaround: ~50 hrs/week (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)Turnaround Execution: 12-hour shifts, 6–7 days/weekRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to support a major refinery turnaround in Rodeo, CA. This role is responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure turnaround scope is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.You will work closely with project leadership, engineering, procurement, construction, and contractors to manage schedule logic, critical paths, milestones, and earned value reporting across both pre-execution and execution phases.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain integrated project schedules using CPM methodologyIntegrate owner and contractor schedules into a single, executable planDefine critical paths, milestones, and schedule constraintsPerform schedule risk analysis and support mitigation and recovery planningMonitor progress against baseline schedules and analyze variancesReview contractor productivity and verify earned valuePrepare schedule updates, forecasts, and management reportsParticipate in weekly schedule reviews and coordination meetingsInterface with contractor planning teams to ensure schedule alignment and data accuracyRequired Qualifications5 years of scheduling experience on downstream/refining projectsStrong proficiency with Primavera P6 (MS Project a plus)Solid knowledge of:Project ControlsPlanning & SchedulingEarned Value Management (EVM)Familiarity with refinery operations and equipmentAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced turnaround environmentWillingness to work extended hours during turnaround executionBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience This is a hands-on, execution-focused role best suited for schedulers with real turnaround experience—not just planners on paper.
