Senior Piping Designer – Turnaround Group (Onsite, Ferndale WA)

Ready to put your deep piping design experience to work in a fast-paced turnaround environment? Our Ferndale, WA refinery is looking for a Senior Piping Designer to support major TAR planning and execution. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role combining advanced 3D design work with extensive field verification.

What You’ll Do

• Create and update 3D piping models and drawings using Cadworx (or equivalent); transition into Plant 3D as needed
• Perform frequent field walks through refinery units to inspect piping, verify as-found conditions, and support tie-in planning
• Capture measurements, sketches, and field data to ensure accurate and constructible designs
• Produce piping layouts, isos, and fabrication packages that directly support turnaround planning and construction
• Partner with turnaround planners, engineers, and construction teams to keep scope aligned, accurate, and ready for execution
• Support rapid design needs as turnaround scope evolves

What Makes You a Fit

• 20 years of refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial piping design experience
• Strong 3D modeling skills in Cadworx (or similar), plus the ability to learn Plant 3D
• Comfortable working in the field: walking units, climbing platforms, validating tie-ins, and gathering as-found info
• Deep understanding of refinery piping systems, constructability, and industry standards
• Thrive in a turnaround environment where accuracy, speed, and teamwork matter
