Job summary
This position is responsible for managing warranty exchanges and processing claims to vendors. The role involves handling repair requests from customers at the Salt Lake location, as well as some branch repair claims. A key aspect of this position is the manufacture and welding of custom bandsaw blades. The position also requires maintaining an accurate progress trail to ensure timely and efficient customer service and overseeing blade stock inventory control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive warranty exchange requests and products from Will Call, ensuring proper order tracking and processing in accordance with company procedures.
Process claims for repair or replacement, adhering to internal and vendor guidelines.
Perform minor approved repairs in-house and coordinate vendor repairs in a timely manner, maintaining progress status and providing regular updates to customers.
Maintain a log of custom blade orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Weld and manufacture custom bandsaw blades according to customer specifications and quality standards, ensuring consistency and high-quality results.
Manage blade inventory and ensure adequate stock levels for customer demand.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience handling warranty and repair orders.
Familiarity with the Industrial Supply industry, including products and customer needs.
Experience performing minor repairs on industrial power tools and equipment.
Background in welding, metalwork, or related mechanical trade.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service by efficiently processing warranty and repair claims, as well as blade orders, in line with customer expectations and company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate hand repair tools and blade equipment to perform repairs and manufacture blades to customer specifications.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment, with the possibility of standing and working for up to 50% of the workday.
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, as well as proficiency in using a computer.
