Job summary
Responsible for managing the inventory and sales of consumable products while maintaining and strengthening customer relationships. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional service, ensuring that client inventory needs are met accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role combines sales, customer service, and inventory oversight to support long-term customer satisfaction and business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a regular customer route schedule to ensure consistent and timely visits to assigned accounts
Manage inventory levels at customer locations, ensuring optimal stock based on demand patterns and sales trends
Utilize Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) systems to track stock levels, manage replenishments, and analyze sales data
Collaborate with customers and the Sales Team to identify needs, provide product recommendations, and offer technical or product support
Serve as the primary point of contact for all VMI-related inquiries, fostering strong, service-oriented customer relationships
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts to drive revenue growth
Partner with the Sales Team to support customer acquisition strategies and expand market presence
Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets and performance objectives
Participate in business reviews with customers and internal stakeholders to assess performance and growth opportunities
Maintain and ensure proper functionality and professional appearance of all equipment
Replenish inventory in vending machines accurately and efficiently
Work collaboratively within a team environment, including cross-training and providing account coverage as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, ideally in a Route Sales or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) role
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends and growth opportunities
Proficiency in using inventory management systems and related tools
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer accounts efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven drive to achieve and exceed sales targets
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
Work may be performed while sitting or standing, and in various environments including office, warehouse, or industrial customer sites, depending on equipment location and customer needs
This role may require lifting and transporting equipment, including loading and unloading items from a delivery vehicle or personal vehicle
