Inside Sales/Customer Support Specialist

We have an opportunity for an Inside Sales/Customer Support Specialist position for our Lenexa, KS branch. The right candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Receives and handles requests from customers and distributors for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, and order cancellations.
• Builds rapport with customers and works to ensure they receive excellent service.
• Uses computer database to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status.
• Provides pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers.
• Drafts purchase orders and invoices to submit to the accounting department.
• Maintains files of active orders and updates with changes to customer accounts or orders.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Industrial Inside Sales experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Understands sense of urgency and the ability to resolve urgent matters promptly.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with fellow teammates and customers
• Experience answering phones, processing quotes and orders in database system (order entry) required.
• Outgoing with a positive attitude and professional appearance and demeanor
• Knowledge of the aggregate, manufacturing, industrial, or mining industries very helpful
• Occasionally needed to make deliveries to a customer(5%-10% of the time)
• Valid Driver License with a clean MVR
• Basic Forklift, shipping and receiving experience helpful
• PC computer skills – Microsoft Windows and Office required
• Must pass Drug Test, DOT Physical & Background Check
