We’re looking for a Design Engineer who thrives in a design-heavy environment and wants to see their work come to life in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Design structural systems, layouts, and fabrication-ready drawings for tent and fabric structures
- Turn concepts into detailed, buildable plans
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management to bring projects from idea to execution
- Modify and adapt designs based on real-world site conditions
- Apply structural design principles (wind loads, anchoring, etc.)
- Support field teams with technical guidance when needed
What You Bring
- Background in structural, architectural, mechanical, or fabric design
- Strong design mindset, this role is heavily design-focused
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving approach
Tech You’ll Use
- AutoCAD
- Vectorworks
- Inventor
- SolidWorks
- MPanel (fabric design software) – a big plus
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with tensile/fabric structures or temporary structures
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (any state), with ability to obtain New York licensure if not already held
- Experience reviewing, signing, and sealing engineering drawings in accordance with applicable state regulations
Compensation:
- $90,000 – $120,000, based on experience and licensure
- Compensation at the higher end of the range is typically aligned with candidates who hold an active PE license and have experience signing and sealing drawings
