That kind of retention speaks to the culture, respect, and opportunity found at ISC.We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Lead to oversee all installation, repair, preventative maintenance and upkeep operations of the company's equipment and facility during our second shift. The Maintenance Lead will ensure that the maintenance crew has the best resources available to complete their duties according to safety and scheduling requirements. The maintenance lead will have a solid understanding of cranes, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as well as the machinery used in steel fabrication. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The Ideal candidate will also have aptitude in training, developing, managing and directing the employees in ISC's maintenance department. Must have the ability to manage and prioritize personnel, complex projects and installations as well as tracking of performance data.The goal is to ensure the company machinery and facilities are well read for and adequate to support the company's business operations.Primary Duties Include:• Retrieve line up from day shift personnel and direct workforce according to line up/ facility needs.• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.• Carry out facility inspections to identify and resolve issues.• Manage and schedule maintenance staff to ensure adequate coverage of the facility and timely repairs according to priority and in accordance with our safety rules.• Document work completed during shift, including any work that was not completed.Additional Responsibilities:• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities on second shift.• Monitor equipment inventory and notify day shift of any orders that need to be placed.• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities• Ensure compliance with health and safety policiesJob Requirements:• Proven experience as a manager or leader in the maintenance field. Experience in planning maintenance operations• Basic understanding of technical aspects of mechanical, CNC, crane repair, electrical systems, blast machines, etc.• Basic knowledge of 110, 220, & 440 Electrical• Basic knowledge of hydraulics• Basic knowledge of facility machines and equipment• Ability to keep track of and report on activity• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities• High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or college will be an advantagePhysical Requirements:• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc.• Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.• Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.• Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.• Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.• Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.• Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.• Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.• Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.• Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.• Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, sometimes in a loud shop environment.• Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Second shift is organized so that the day shift Manager determines the tasks that need to be completed for night shift. So this lead would be responsible for making sure these tasks are completed and documented. A basic understanding of the technical skills and work in heavy industrial are preferred.Hours for 2nd shift are 3pm – 1:30am 50 hrs/wee k with 10 hrs OT$25 - 27/hr and 100% employer paid benefits!
