What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Account Representative position at Industrial Specialties Manufacturing?
ISM is looking for an energetic candidate who enjoys providing the highest level of sales expertise, quality and service to customers. The ideal candidate will have an advanced level of experience selling industrial parts/components (preferably pneumatic and/or hydraulic components), enjoy talking on the phone with prospective and existing customers, probing for new sales opportunities, and developing and negotiating sales quotations. This position includes an excellent compensation program, including a solid base salary along with a competitive variable comp plan. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Identify new sales opportunities, create sales action plans to pursue, and execute for successful closure of the opportunity.Act as the primary customer contact on all new opportunities that meet minimum sales revenue targets. Provide sales direction and customer feedback for internal sales support staff (Application Engineering, Customer Service, and Senior Leadership).Qualify and follow up on all marketing-generated sales leads.Gather all required technical information from customers and collaborate with internal ISM sales support staff to develop an appropriate solution and prepare quote quotations.Assist Sales Management, Marketing and Senior Leadership with input into sales strategy, market trends, forecasting and new product development needs.Review key account activity to analyze purchasing patterns and identify growth opportunities.Interact and communicate with suppliers to secure quotes and required order quantities when needed.Continuously improve the customer experience while fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Required Skills and Experience:Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a B2B sales rolePreferred experience facilitating longer sales cycle projects (6 months )Preferred technical selling/engineering role in engineered componentsEffective and persuasive oral and written communicationsProficiency in MS Office and OutlookAbility to navigate and use our company’s order-entry systems and CRM tool.Exceptionally detail oriented and organizedComfortable working in a fast-paced office environmentStrong work ethic and a “do-what-it-takes” perspective About Industrial Specialties Manufacturing: ISM is an ISO 9001-certified global supplier of miniature pneumatic, vacuum and fluid circuitry components to OEM's and distributors.
