Job Description Overview: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities within a food and/or beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all equipment, utilities, and systems are maintained to support safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of five maintenance technicians, providing hands-on guidance, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, coach, and support a team of five maintenance technicians, including daily work assignments, troubleshooting assistance, and performance feedback. Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and ensure consistent production output. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues, escalating complex challenges to the Maintenance Manager when necessary. Ensure adherence to all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including GMPs and plant safety policies. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory through the facility’s CMMS or maintenance tracking system. Assist with planning and execution of equipment installations, overhauls, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with production, sanitation, and quality teams to support operational goals. Promote and model a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the maintenance team. Job Requirements Prior experience working in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment is required. Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or related technical roles is required. Previous supervisory or team lead experience is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to time-sensitive equipment issues. No degree required—relevant hands-on experience is valued.
