We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Refrigeration Welder to support the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems. This role involves working with pressurized piping systems, including ammonia and CO₂-based refrigeration, requiring exceptional safety standards, technical proficiency, and precision welding skills.
Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld refrigeration piping systems including carbon steel and stainless steel using GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick), and MIG processes.

Read and interpret complex blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and work orders.

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and piping infrastructure.

Conduct x-ray quality welds for high-pressure ammonia refrigeration systems.

Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing on welds and piping.

Work closely with engineers, pipefitters, and refrigeration technicians on layout and design modifications.

Ensure compliance with ASME codes, IIAR standards, and OSHA safety regulations.

Maintain tools, welding machines, and safety equipment in excellent condition.

Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, inspections, and safety checks.

3 years of experience as an industrial welder, preferably in refrigeration or HVAC piping systems.

Proficiency in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW welding, particularly on high-pressure piping.

Solid knowledge of IIAR standards and best practices for ammonia refrigeration systems.

Experience with orbital welding (optional but preferred).

Familiarity with pressure vessels, refrigeration cycles, and heat exchange systems.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work in confined spaces, on scaffolding, and outdoors in varied conditions.
Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a welding apprenticeship or vocational welding program.

Certified Welder (CW) credential from AWS (American Welding Society) preferred.

IIAR certification or RETA training (Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association) is a plus.

OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification preferred.
