Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Pump Service Technician / Fabricator to join our service department team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, evaluating, maintaining, troubleshooting and fabricating pumps and associated equipment. Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot all styles of pumps & pump systems in the wastewater, manufacturing , industrial, municipal and commercial markets.
- Repair, overhaul, and assembly of pumps, electric motors, blowers and related rotary equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pump components such as packing, mechanical seals, bearings, wear rings, etc.
- Precision alignment and dynamic balancing of rotary equipment
- Perform basic electrical diagnostics on industrial equipment
- Rigging , welding, basic pipe fitting & machining skills a plus.
- Good customer service skills
Experience
- Hands on experience with the removal, disassembly, evaluation , reassembly & installation of all types of pumps and related equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Familiarity with control panels , VFD's, soft starters a plus
- Experience in rigging and hoisting for field service tasks in industrial environments
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures in industrial applications
- Background in industrial mechanic work
- Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
