JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shop Upkeep & Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and scrub concrete shop floors, removing heavy grease, oil slicks, and metal shavings.
- Waste & Scrap Management: Empty metal chip hoppers, manage coolant recycling or disposal, and empty general trash and industrial recycling bins.
- Facility Sanitation: Clean and stock restrooms, cafeteria, and locker room.
- Shipping, Receiving & Inventory: Load and unload truck shipments safely, log all incoming/outgoing materials, and verify packing slips against physical inventory.
- Preventive Maintenance Support: Assist technicians with basic upkeep on machine tools, clear debris from coolant filters, and wipe down external machine surfaces.
- Roof & Facility Maintenance: Remove ice, patch minor leaks, and monitor building drainage systems to prevent water damage.
- Deliveries & Errands: Drive the company vehicle to handle local deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure aisles, emergency exits, and eye-wash stations remain clear, adhering to OSHA standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 1 years of janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to safely operate company vehicles.
- Technical Knowledge (Preferred): Basic knowledge of auto repair and mechanical maintenance to help service the company fleet or support minor machine fixes.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and safely climb ladders for roof and facility work.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with handling industrial cleaning chemicals, cutting fluids, and wearing required PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses).
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
