About the Role
Industrial Power Truck & Equipment is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This individual will oversee full-cycle accounting responsibilities with a strong emphasis on payroll administration, accounts payable, and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support leadership with reliable financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HRIS (ADP Workforce Now Required):
- Manage and process weekly payroll for all employees through ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure accuracy of employee pay, deductions, reimbursements, PTO, and benefit premiums
- Maintain and audit payroll records to ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
- Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, wage changes, and benefit enrollments
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll-related journal entries
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and post general ledger entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with audits and ensure documentation accuracy
Accounts Payable Management:
- Oversee the full AP cycle including invoice processing, vendor setup, and payments
- Review and reconcile vendor statements
- Monitor AP aging reports and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Ensure proper coding of invoices and adherence to internal approval processes
Other Duties:
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency within accounting and payroll functions
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- 5 years of professional accounting experience, including payroll processing
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience managing full-cycle Accounts Payable
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-location or multi-state payroll environment
- Prior experience in the transportation, service, or equipment industry
- Experience with financial reporting and audit preparation

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
