About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking Heavy Equipment Salvage Yard Worker to join our team. This position involves dismantling and processing heavy machinery, recovering usable parts, and sorting scrap materials. You’ll operate yard equipment safely and efficiently while helping keep our facility clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantle and process heavy equipment for reusable parts and scrap
- Operate loaders, forklifts, and other yard equipment
- Identify, tag, and clean salvageable components
- Sort, load, and prepare scrap metal for recycling
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a salvage, scrap, or heavy equipment yard preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment parts and systems a plus
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Forklift or heavy equipment certifications a plus
