Operations Supervisor

Description

Provides oversight and direction to Leads and teams, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and consistently reviewed for continuous improvement. Ensures quality goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost. Motivates and encourages personnel, listens and addresses concerns, and supports and builds a positive workplace culture that aligns with company values. This is a safety sensitive position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure that safe practices/policies are the priority and adhered to at all times
• Ensure that company policies and departmental procedures are being followed and proper paperwork is being completed on time
• Seek and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Guide and develop Team Leaders
• Certify and track skill and safety training for all assigned personnel
• Monitor and approve overtime and attendance in Paylocity
• Perform reviews on all assigned personnel at least one time per six months
• Hold personnel accountable for performance with HR support
• Daily review of schedule with team to ensure efficiency and manpower for blending/packaging/transportation in accordance with customer orders
• Responsible for the timely execution of the production/packaging/transportation schedule within the parameters and quality standards set by the company
• Understand, communicate, and drive KPI performance
• Will be reassigned or cross-trained in other departments as needed
• Other duties may be assigned
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma required, college degree preferred
• Five or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Five years supervisory experience preferred
• Verbal and written skills necessary to read and follow instructions and to give instructions or directions to team members
