What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Industrial Manufacturing?
We are seeking a manufacturing engineer to support production related to process planning, trouble - shooting, continuous improvement, installation of new equipment, and other activities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
- Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
- Perform troubleshooting activities when equipment is experiencing downtime due to breakdowns
- Maintain preventative maintenance program
- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
- Comply with all quality policies and standards
- Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, products and building codes comply with safety standards and legal regulations
- Available to work weekends, different shifts and overtime as needed
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in High Precision CNC Machining
- Excellent problem analysis, problem-solving, and design thinking
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members, managers, suppliers, and contractors
- Strong understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
- Advanced technical skills
- Strong organization and management skills
Education and Experience:
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient knowledge of or expert in CNC machining
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and sitting for sustained periods of time
- Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
- Extensive walking through the facility's production areas
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
