Howmet Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Digital Radiographer Level 2 for a full-time contractor position. As a contractor, you will perform critical radiographic testing on materials and components used in aerospace and manufacturing, ensuring product integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role is integral to supporting ongoing projects and operational needs on a contract basis with the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will have experience with radiographic testing (RT), including proficiency in digital radiography, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze radiographic images. The position requires a self-driven individual who can work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate radiographic images for quality, clarity, and accuracy to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret radiographic images to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, inclusions, or other internal flaws.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ASTM, ASME, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of radiographic materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) from a recognized body such as ASNT or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in other NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, eddy current) are a plus.
