Product Engineer

IHT is a custom heat exchanger manufacturer serving industrial customers, both commercial and defense. This role owns the day-to-day mechanical design and drafting of custom equipment under ASME codes and industry best practice, working closely with manufacturing, the Senior Designer, and the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for executing designs efficiently, learning our design standards, and supporting on-time delivery of customer orders.

This role is hands-on, manufacturing-focused, and ideal for an engineer who wants real responsibility and rapid growth.

1. Core Responsibilities

1. 1. Primary Responsibilities
      1. Mechanical design of custom heat exchangers and pressure vessels
      2. Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and design calculations

                      iii. Apply ASME Section VIII and customer specifications (with review)

                      iv. Coordinate with:

                             Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Project management

                       v. Support design changes during fabrication

             b. Secondary Responsibilities

                       i. Improve and standardize:

                             Drawing templates, calculation tools, and design workflows

                      ii. Participate in root-cause reviews of design issues

                     iii. Assist with quoting support (time permitting)

2. Experience

1. 1. Required
      1. 2–5 years mechanical design experience
      2. Proficient in SolidWorks / Inventor / similar 3D CAD and manufacturing drawings

                      iii. Exposure to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, or heavy equipment

                      iv. Comfortable working directly with a shop floor and manufacturing personnel

              b. Desired

                       i. ASME Section VIII experience

                      ii. Heat exchanger experience

                     iii. Experience in custom or job-shop manufacturing

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
