Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Hand / Machine Shop Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be integral to supporting machining operations, assisting with fabrication, and ensuring the smooth flow of production processes. Duties
- Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of cutting machines, milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment
- Assist in the tear down and cleaning of natural gas compressor components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment safely and efficiently
- Sand blasting
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges,
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with inventory management of raw materials, tooling, and finished products
Qualifications
- Must have dependable ride to work every day 7am to 4:30pm
- Knowledge of assembly procedures
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to problem solve
- Experience operating forklifts, , hand tools, and precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
- Understanding of safety standards related to manufacturing environments and machinery operation
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and adherence to specifications
- Basic electrical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment is a plus
