Industrial Filter Manufacturers (IFM) has a full-time position available for a sewing associate. Ideal candidates will bring a positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a team.
We are a small, family-oriented environment and hope to bring in someone who will stay with us long term. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (with a 30 minute lunch) and occasional overtime.

Interview Process:
The successful candidate will meet with the sewing department to see the job and understand expectations.
Job Summary:
The Sewing Associate is responsible for preparing different types of filter materials that cannot be machined. This includes hand sewing and machine sewing activities.
- Selects appropriate raw materials, hardware, tools, tags, and equipment necessary to produce and sew various filtration products
- Cutting, marking, and preparing filtration media to be sewn to specifications
- Sew media using an industrial sewing machine
- Load and feed materials into or through equipment
- Assemble and construct entire filter element per work order specifications
- Organize finished product for orders to maintain an efficient workflow
- Assure on time shipment of orders and communicate issues
Education / Technical Training:
- 1 year of related sewing experience recommended
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
Job Specific Physical Demands:
This position requires:
- Continuous sitting, standing, and movement
- Bending and stooping occasionally
- Lifting up to 40 pounds manually
- Ability to continuously work in an industrial setting with temperature variations
- Required to push and pull using a hand truck
- Repetitive hand motion, twisting, and arm motion
- Occasional reaching above and below the waist level
