JOB LOCATION(S): 3300 N Butler Ave STE 221, Farmington, NM 87401
JOB TITLE: Senior Automation Engineer
JOB DUTIES:
1. Responsible for the Design, configuration and implementation of SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMIs, Network servers, switches.
2. Perform work within budget and schedule parameters and provide appropriate feedback to project manager for workload, schedule, and cost management.
3. Work with customer to establish control strategies and automation details.
4. Perform work within applicable standards, guidelines, and procedures.
5. Coordinate technical engineering activities of project teams and/or execute technical tasks in the design, development, implementation, and documentation of process automation/control projects.
6. Mentor less experienced co-workers on technical or project execution elements.
7. Provide proactive input and solutions to the engineering organization for continuous improvement of the organization.
8. Supervise I&C engineers.
9. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by the Sr. Leadership Team.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of experience as Project or Design Engineer in automation or mechatronics
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Travel to various client sites required, typically 1–2 times per month, and located within the continental U.S., depending on project needs and scheduling. All travel will be work-related and coordinated in advance with the employee.
