Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our construction project finances. This pivotal role involves overseeing budgeting, cost management, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple complex infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction management, project scheduling, and financial oversight, with a passion for driving efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. As a key leader within our team, you will coordinate with project managers and contractors, to ensure financial health and regulatory adherence throughout all phases of construction.

Duties

• Manage and oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgets, cost control, and forecasting.
• Monitor construction regulatory compliance by reviewing permits, DOT filing, Contractor's Licenses, Registered Agents, Business Annual Filings in numerous states.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Customers ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and progress tracking across multiple projects.
• Oversee contract administration including reviewing, negotiation, and enforcement of agreements related to construction projects.
• Oversee Union Contracts.
• Ensure proper documentation of all project activities including change orders, progress reports, and compliance records.
• File all payroll taxes, sales and use tax, GRT tax, estimated taxes, OSHA and MSHA filings, and all Union Reporting.
• Monthly billings and accounts payable, receivables and financials.
• Oversee union payroll.
• Oversee Insurance for general liability, work comp, equipment and trucks.
• Track and log all inspection reports.
• Experience
• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a construction management role while maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software including Foundation. Raken, ProCore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word),
• Strong understanding of construction regulations and compliance requirements across various jurisdictions.
• Experience handling contracts related to large-scale projects with an emphasis on project leadership and contract enforcement.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $121,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
