Boiler/Burner Service Technician

The service technician is responsible for start-up, troubleshooting, training, commissioning, maintaining, and servicing of boiler/burners, combustion equipment, and boiler room equipment such as feedwater pumps, deaerator systems, and more.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum 3-5 Years prior commercial/industrial experience in boiler/burner field.

· Knowledge of control systems.

· Experience with steam and hot water systems.

· Skilled in job start-up, check out, troubleshooting.

· Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams.

· Knowledge of cast iron and steel heating and process boiler systems.

· Flexible to work overtime/weekends to meet deadlines and service calls.

· Capable of working in stressful situations, such as when a plant is “down” due to boiler failure.

· Willingness to participate in all phases of the business, including boiler maintenance and annual inspections.

· Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

· Able to work on ladders.

· Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident with work authorization.

· Must have State of RI professional licenses – Natural Gas and/or Propane Gas Serviceman/Oil Burner Serviceman/Pipefitter Master 1 preferred.

· Must have valid RI driver’s license with clean (commercially insurable) driving record.

· Must be able to pass a State of RI background check.

· Must have own hand tools (Company provides larger power tools).

Pay and Benefits:

· Competitive hourly rate ($30 – 60/hour) commensurate with qualifications and skills.
