The Millwright will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial agriculture equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper operation of large industrial equipment such as conveyors, bucket elevators, assembly line machinery and process equipment.
• Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machines.
• Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes machines.
• Disassembles or dismantles machines.
• Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise.
• Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on older machines.
• Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery.
• Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations.
• Ems other related duties as assign.
• Repair and general maintenance on grain handling and process equipment in the Ag Division.
• Installation of new grain handling and Ag equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required, vocational school or Associate’s degree in related field highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience required; four years of successful apprenticeship training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at times.
• Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
• Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.
