Overview: Industrial Boiler & Mechanical is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Account Manager to join our Knoxville team. This role will focus on delivering top-notch mechanical services to our customers across East Tennessee, parts of Kentucky, and Southwest Virginia. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience in the industrial services industry, with the ability to maintain and grow client relationships through on-site visits, consultation, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring that all their mechanical service needs are met.
- Daily On-Site Customer Visits: Conduct regular visits to customer locations to assess service needs, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and foster strong relationships.
- Sales & Service Consultation: Provide mechanical expertise to customers, advising them on maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial boilers and related equipment.
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, service reports, and project updates. Relay information and feedback to the Branch Manager for efficient follow-up and team coordination.
- Territory Management: Cover a designated territory including East TN, parts of KY, and Southwest VA. Plan and prioritize customer visits based on service needs and business opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal teams (sales, service, and engineering) to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion of projects.
- Market Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the customer base within your territory, promoting IB&M's mechanical services and products.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial services, preferably with a focus on mechanical systems and/or boilers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
- Experience in customer account management, sales, or service coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across the designated territory.
- Reliable Personal transportation required (Company pays vehicle allowance and Fuel)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep accurate records and report back to management.
- Valid driver’s license.
Requirements:
- Daily Site visits with customers across the entire sales region.
- Overnight visits to Southeast KY or Southwest VA will be needed at least twice a month.
- 7 year or newer vehicle.
- Willingness to wear all PPE required at customer sites.
- Weekly report to Branch Manager on visits.
- Possible delivery of parts to customer.
