What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level Field Service Technician position at Industrial Battery Products, Inc.?
Are you looking for a career, not just a job? Do you enjoy working with your hands, figuring out how things work, and being part of a team that takes pride in their work? If so, we want to meet you.
At IBP (Industrial Battery Products), we’re hiring Entry-Level Field Technicians who want to learn a skilled trade, work hard, and grow with us. No experience with batteries or chargers? No problem. We’ll train you! If you’ve worked in a warehouse, done mechanical or electrical work, or just enjoy fixing things around the house, this could be your next step.
What You’ll Do:
- Get hands-on training to service and maintain industrial batteries and chargers (used in forklifts and other equipment).
- Travel to customer sites in a company truck to complete routine maintenance and basic repairs.
- Help keep warehouses and distribution centers running by keeping their battery fleets healthy.
- Learn to safely operate forklifts and company equipment.
- Use tools, diagnostic devices, and apps on your phone or iPad to track your work.
- Work both indoors and outdoors – every day is a little different.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hard-working, reliable people who want to learn and grow.
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude (if you've ever fixed a lawnmower, installed a car stereo, or worked on machinery—you’re our kind of person).
- Comfortable with physical work: lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, bending, moving equipment.
- Willing to travel locally in a company vehicle (Class B CDL is a plus, but we’ll help you get it if needed).
What You’ll Get:
✅ Paid, hands-on training and certification
✅ Clear career path and advancement opportunities
✅ Great work-life balance and supportive team
✅ Company-provided uniforms, PPE, tools, and a well-equipped work vehicle
✅ Competitive pay with regular increases
✅ Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more
