Regional Sales Managers are sales professionals who take entrepreneurial responsibility for the development and maintenance of customer relationships in an assigned territory. They are expected to prospect their territory; win new logos (customers); manage the existing customers; and generate increased revenue year after year. These managers develop an in depth understanding of our customers’ manufacturing processes and work to position themselves as a resource to the daily needs our customers encounter related to assembly, quality, and ergonomics. The following sales strategies are considered core competencies: strategic-partner selling, cross-selling, consultative selling, solution-based selling and fanatical prospecting. It is the job of the RSM to ensure that customers receive the requested services / products; expectations are achieved; and a high metric of satisfaction is yielded. They are the stewards to long-term account relationships.
Responsibilities & Requirements Include:
- Actively works with industrial customer base to specify and drive demand for IMS products and services.
- Minimum of 3 years sales and business development experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
- An understanding of project management and exceptional organizational skills.
- Responsible for full utilization of IMS & Vendor Partner resources.
- Motivation to learn about new industrial applications and products.
- Technical aptitude & ability to develop expertise in product application areas with existing IMS product portfolio and new innovative solutions from IMS supplier partners.
- Ability to clearly articulate business drivers, balance sheets, and total cost of ownership (TCO) concepts with decision makers.
- Strong process discipline with an ability to manage planning objectives emphasizing pipeline development to increase territory revenue and market expansion.
- Initiative to provide exceptional customer service.
- Capable of conceptualizing, communicating, and executing tailored solutions to impact the customer’s bottom line.
- Manages DTD Sales & Prospecting Activity via CRM (NetSuite).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
- Experience with NetSuite (ERP System) is a plus but not required.
Location / Travel:
Position will be home based as a remote office located in the Raleigh, NC region. Limited overnight travel will be required.

Compensation:
This position features a competitive base salary dependent on experience and uncapped commission opportunities.

Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
