What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator/Painter/Installation Technician position at Industrial Air Purification, Inc.?
Industrial Air Purification, Inc. is a turnkey design and installation company that is centrally located to a very large industrial marketplace. IAP is seeking a talented individual for the Fabrication/Paint Shop and Installation crew.
Fab Shop:
- Offer value added solutions to solve customer problems in relation to our products / services; with emphasis on local fabrication work and supporting our other business models.
- Perform major/minor fabrication work, including painting.
- Support install with fabrication, as needed.
- Pass on trades/skills/best methods in an OJT environment.
- Follow “Employee to Do List” and update as completed.
- Maintain the following shop areas: fabrication area, paint booths, paint storage room and oven.
- Complete PM checklists for fabrication and paint equipment, provide feedback.
Warehouse:
- Package product and load/unload trucks.
- Unloading containers, staging material, etc.
- Product modifications before shipping.
- Assist with routine maintenance of properties and vehicles via checklist.
Install:
- Installation and service of equipment and ductwork.
- Read Job Sheets and return completed job sheets with suggested changes for future needs.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, text messages, etc.
Prior experience with mechanical contracting associated with round ductwork, setting equipment with scissor lifts/forklifts/cranes, and welding/sheet metal fabrication and painting. Good understanding of OSHA regulations. Ability to converse with customer.
Valid and clean driver’s license required. Travel overnight is required, up to about 33%. Weekend work is required.
Ability to lift 50 lb and work overhead.
