Job Title: Banquet Server Hotel Department: Food and Beverage
Reports to: Banquet Captain/Food and Beverage Director FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Objective: To effectively execute food and beverage service, guest attention, and overall functionality of banquet events by means of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence, resulting in the overall success of banquet events.
Key Areas of Responsibility: Meeting function set-up and tear down in regard to but not limited to both corporate and social functions while maintaining the highest standard of customer service.
Specific Duties:
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Assist with set-up of tables, linens, chairs for full service of events.
- Provide excellent food and beverage service for banquet events.
- Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Maintain front of the house, back of the house and all side work duties.
- Maintain positive and professional attitude and complete all assigned duties with clear communication.
- Other Duties and Responsibilities as may be designated: As required by management.
Qualifications: Must be customer service orientated and have a passion for pleasing guests.
Education/Experience: Prior Banquet Server experience in a hotel or banquet facility preferred but not required.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and through written means.
Equipment/Computer Expertise: Knowledge of standard banquet equipment, service ware, table settings.
Physical Demands: Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift. Must be able to lift 30 pounds consistently throughout shift.
Work Environment: Able to work flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
