Responsibility
- Receive and coordinate all referrals to include notification of insurance providers for prior authorization and services covered
- Responsible for the review of daily logs and notes from Case Managers to assure continuity of care, documentation of nursing process, appropriateness of intervention/action and timeliness of documentation.
- Using discretion and independent judgment in handling patient or physician complaints received documents and forwards to appropriate administrative staff.
- Responsible for maintaining supply inventory as well as daily distribution of supplies to field staff. Maintains log and any reports essential for appropriate billing and reorder process.
- Communicate with Clinical Director any information received from physician, patient or employees about the patents care or needs.
- Primary contact for receiving phone calls to the branch office.
- Obtain the physician orders by phone, documents, notifies appropriate Case Manager and adjusts schedules accordingly as indicated. Files all office records as necessary.
- Assign a case manager for SOC and other disciplines that were ordered by the physician or recommended by clinical Director. Follow up with field staff and keep track of their schedule.
- Enter and upload paper documents in the health care system.
- Perform pre-billing audit. This involves reconciling electronic posted visits with the pre-billing audit tool received from the QA department. Submit completed bill audit to biller.
- Assist as needed in tracking all MD orders for Medicare compliance. Serve as backup to order management associate.
- Follow company policies and procedures and maintain HIPPA compliance.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Health care back ground will be plus.
- 3 years of experience in customer service in home care industry preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and verbal communication skills required.
- Familiarity with internet applications and good computer skills required.
- Should be able to work in team-oriented environment.
This is a full time position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. This position may require some after hour work. We are looking to hire individuals who share our values and want to grow with the company.
