Role: Data Governance and Compliance Manager – Atlanta, GA (Onsite/Hybrid)

We are seeking a Data Governance and Compliance Manager with hands-on experience building a Data Governance framework from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and operationalize a city-wide Data Governance framework (committee, taxonomy, policies, RACI models).

· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, CJIS, and other regulations.

· Establish data classification, cataloging, quality controls, and lifecycle management.

· Deliver training programs and build internal capacity.

· Support audits, reporting, and compliance risk assessments.

Must-Have Experience:

· Proven track record in designing and implementing a full Data Governance framework (not just maintaining one).

· 7 years in data governance, compliance, or information management.

· Strong knowledge of regulatory and privacy laws.

· Experience in government or large organizations is preferred.

· Certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CDMP) a plus.
