Description:
Principal Responsibilities:
- Oversee and actively support the IT Services support team, providing related analytics to leadership on a regular basis, and creating and implementing solutions for recurring technical issues.
- Design and facilitate comprehensive technical training programs, including the creation of curriculum and support materials, to equip IT staff with expertise in company hardware and software, ensuring a high level of troubleshooting proficiency and operational productivity.
- Tracks and maintains hardware and software inventory, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, phones, alarms, surveillance cameras, etc.
- Handles business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
- Update and maintain the operability of data networks.
- Implement and maintain standards, quality of service and the quality of installed solutions
- Develops and executes disaster procedures and maintains data backups
- Continuously analyzes current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
- Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, hardware, and software; stays informed about new features and competitive solutions
- Owns projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
- Must travel (via personal vehicle) for up to 50% of working hours across various Indus Communities located across the Southwest Houston and Spring Branch areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma; bachelor’s degree in computer science, network administration, equivalent professional experience, or relevant technical training preferred.
Experience: Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT support (hardware and software) and managing or leading small teams.
License/Certification(s): Valid State Driver’s License (Required); relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Ubiquiti UWA/URSCA, CompTIA A ) are preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- English/Spanish fluency (is a must)
- Proven leadership skills; strong verbal and written communication
- Strong creative and analytical thinking. Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, routers, switches, and other network hardware.
- Integrate, deploy, and maintain large point to multipoint wireless data networks.
- Knowledge of or experience within the last five years of Windows 10 or 11 operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, switching, firewalls). Includes experience with system monitoring, backup recovery, and adherence to standard IT escalation protocols.
- Knowledge of or experience within the last five years of network systems (LAN, WAN) and communication protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
