Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
- Operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and specialized machinery such as glass blowing lathes & other equipment to shape and assemble glass components.
- Measure materials with precision using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate cuts and fittings.
- Perform fabrication tasks involving assembly of glass structures in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely to transport materials within the workspace.
- Follow safety protocols on manufacturing floors while maintaining quality control throughout the fabrication process.
Requirements
- Proven manufacturing background with a focus on fabrication or assembly work.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings essential for precise fabrication.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools & power tools equipment accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to lathe work or machining processes.
