Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality sewn products, including mattress and dinette covers for the RV industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial sewing equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew mattress covers, dinette covers, and other fabric products according to production specifications.
- Read and follow sewing patterns, measurements, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
- Inspect finished products for stitching accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Maintain production efficiency while meeting established quality standards.
- Identify and report sewing machine issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, including changing needles, threading machines, and making necessary adjustments.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with other production-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial sewing experience preferred.
- Experience sewing mattress covers and dinette covers for the RV industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sewing techniques, patterns, and fabric handling.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- English communication skills preferred; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus.
- Basic computer or data entry skills are a plus.
